- 1 pound of pork sausage
- 1 egg
- ½ cup saltines, crushed
- 1 cup and 2 tablespoons Gourmet Apple Spread
- ½ teaspoon rubbed sage
- ½ cup water
In a bowl, combine sausage, egg, crushed saltines, 2 tablespoons of Southern Okie Gourmet Apple Spread and sage; mix well.
Shape into 1-inch balls. In a skillet over medium heat, brown sausage balls; drain. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Add to skillet; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until center of sausage balls are done.
